Please read these Terms carefully before using Clara Health. They govern your use of our platform and the services we provide.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Clara Health ("Clara", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Clara Health Technology Ltd., a company registered in Nigeria.
2. Description of Services
Clara provides a digital health management platform including:
- AI-powered health assistance and insights via Clara AI
- Doctor and specialist booking and teleconsultations
- Hospital and pharmacy network integration
- Health records vault for uploading and managing personal medical documents
- Medication tracking and appointment management
- Corporate employee health benefits management
Clara is a health management tool and does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions.
3. Account Registration
To use Clara, you must create an account by providing accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access at security@clara.health
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Clara offers free and premium (Pro) subscription tiers.
Free Tier: Access to core health tracking, basic AI insights, and doctor discovery.
Pro Tier: Unlimited AI consultations, priority booking, advanced health analytics, lab order management, and more.
Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via your chosen payment method. Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and include applicable taxes.
Apple App Store Subscriptions: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.
Google Play Subscriptions: Payment will be charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again but will retain Pro access until the period ends.
Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscribers. Contact billing@clara.health within 7 days of your first charge.
5. Medical Disclaimer
Clara AI is not a licensed medical professional.
The AI-generated content, health insights, and recommendations provided by Clara are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
You should always: - Seek the advice of your physician or qualified health provider for any medical condition - Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read on Clara - Call emergency services immediately if you believe you have a medical emergency
Clara Health is not liable for any harm resulting from reliance on AI-generated health information.
6. Health Records and Data
You retain ownership of all health records and personal data you upload to Clara.
By uploading data, you grant Clara a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the services. We do not sell your health data.
You are responsible for ensuring that any records you upload are accurate and that you have the right to upload them.
7. Healthcare Provider Responsibilities
Doctors, pharmacists, and hospital administrators who register on Clara agree to:
- Provide accurate professional credentials and maintain active licences
- Comply with all applicable healthcare regulations and professional codes of conduct
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with Nigerian medical ethics
- Only prescribe medications and treatment appropriate for the patient's condition
- Not misuse the platform for fraudulent billing or any unlawful purpose
Clara reserves the right to suspend or remove any provider found to be in violation of these obligations.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use Clara for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any other user's data
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent health records
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the platform
- Use Clara to harass, threaten, or harm other users or providers
- Circumvent any security measure or access control
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Clara Health Technology Ltd. shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, revenue, or profits
- Any harm arising from reliance on AI-generated health content
- Service interruptions or technical failures
Our total liability in connection with these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to Clara, other users, or the public.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
